The Mobile World Congress 2014 has came along with interesting smartphone announcements. Samsung Electronics has introduced it’s new model of galaxy series the S5. It is probably the most highly anticipated android phone of the year. But once again the competition is quite tough.There are of course certain tough opponents on it’s way, and the most tough among them is HTC One M8. HTC has unveiled the smartphone on March 25, 2014.
As both the models will be hitting the market at the same time, you would probably be wondering how M8 compares to the s5? Lets have a look at a brief comparison between the two.
Design of both the smartphones closely resembles to their predecessors, which is not a plus point towards their commercial success, as most of the users love to follow an innovative approach and go for a different look for their cell phone after some time.
S5 has a large 5.1 FHD super AMOLED display while the M8 has a display size of 5 inches, Super LCD with a pixel density of 440 ppi (pixels per inch). s5 on the other hand has a slightly higher pixel density (440+).
S5 has a plastic body with a texture having perforated patterns on it the back side, unlike that of M8 which has a metallic body with it’s rear side being brushed to ensure a more premium appearance.
HTC one has been introduced in 3 charming colors grey, silver and champagne gold. While samsung has followed a different approach by introducing shimmery White, Charcoal Black, Electric Blue and gold color.
Both smartphones operate under Android 4.4 KitKat.
M8 has a Lithium polymer embedded (non removeable) 2600 mAh battery, while S5 on the other hand comprises a removable 2800 mAh battery with ultra power saving mode.
